Hello, I'm The Nomads Family
We’re Val (Dutch) and Tim (Belgian), a pair of adventure seekers who are always up for something new. We’re all about embracing life in every way we can. Over the past twelve years, this mindset has taken us on a whirlwind journey all around the world, hopping from one exciting experience to the next.
Two of our most significant adventures have been raising our two kids while traveling and operating our mobile hostel, The Nomads Bus. We spent several years driving around Europe in this cool 12-meter American school bus, seeking out thrilling adventures. Two years ago, we decided to settle down in Åre, Sweden, where we are now enjoying the mountain life; hiking, downhill mountain biking, skiing and snowboarding.
We’re what you might call “multi-disciplinary”. We love this term because it means we can follow more than one passion in life. We work best when there’s a bit of chaos in our heads and plenty of inspiration around us. Currently we run two projects together; Nomads Academy, our backcountry ski and snowboard guiding company and our guesthouse The Nomads House.
We absolutely love to create unique content, and we enjoy every part of the process, from taking photos and finding amazing locations, to writing engaging captions and making cool videos.
